New Delhi, April, 2026 – The National Testing Agency (NTA) has launched official Instagram and Facebook handles to deliver real-time updates on major entrance examinations, including JEE Main, NEET UG, and CUET. The initiative, announced today, seeks to bridge the communication gap with students and curb the spread of misinformation that often circulates on social media during exam seasons.
The official Instagram handle is @nta_india, while the Facebook page is @nta.exams. Students and parents have been urged to follow only these verified accounts for authentic information on application deadlines, admit card releases, exam dates, city intimation slips, results, and counselling schedules. NTA has also shared QR codes for easy access to these platforms.
In a statement, NTA emphasised that the new social media presence will provide timely alerts, official notifications, and clarifications directly from the source. “With lakhs of students relying on digital platforms for updates, it is crucial to offer a reliable channel that minimises anxiety caused by fake news and rumours,” an NTA spokesperson said.
The move comes amid growing concerns over misleading posts about exam postponements, leaked papers, and false result dates that have affected aspirants in previous years. By establishing an official footprint on popular social media apps, NTA aims to enhance transparency and accessibility, especially for students in remote areas who actively use Instagram and Facebook.
The handles will feature infographics, short videos explaining exam guidelines, important notices, and live sessions during critical periods. Content will be posted in simple language to ensure clarity for Class 12 students preparing for these high-stakes exams.
Education experts have welcomed the development. “Real-time official updates on social media can significantly reduce stress and help students stay focused on preparation rather than chasing unverified information,” noted career counsellor Meera Sharma.
Students appearing for NEET UG 2026 (scheduled for May 3), ongoing JEE Main sessions, and CUET are advised to follow @nta_india on Instagram and @nta.exams on Facebook immediately. NTA cautioned against relying on unofficial pages or groups that often impersonate the agency.
The agency will continue to use its official website as the primary source for all detailed information and documents. This social media expansion reflects NTA’s commitment to leveraging modern digital tools for better student outreach while maintaining the integrity of India’s premier entrance examinations.
